The legislation governing the offence of corruption in Malaysia is the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009, as amended by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (Amendment) Act 2018. The key amendment is the addition of a new Section 17A by the introduction of Corporate Liability.

This section imposes strict corporate liability on commercial organisations for bribery offences committed by its associates; this extends not only to the actions of directors, managers and employees but also potentially independent business partners along the supply chain. This course will guide you on how to develop and implement Adequate Procedures as required by the law.

INTRODUCTION TO ISO 37001:2016 ANTI-BRIBERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (ABMS)

This training course is designed to explain the purpose and fundamentals of an Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS). Participants will be introduced to the ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS), its relevance to the work environment and how these can ultimately benefit the organization through minimizing risks related to bribery and corruption.

The principles and terminologies used in the Anti-Bribery Management System will thoroughly be discussed including planning, operational control and evaluation of an ABMS. After completing the course, participants will be able to understand the basic elements to implement an anti-bribery framework and establish effective anti-bribery policies and processes.
